These decorative Mortar and Pestle sets are carved from soapstone, a soft metamorphic rock that naturally comes in many different colors and patterns. Mortars and pestles have been used for centuries to grind plants, herbs, and spices into a fine powder or paste.

While this can be used for grinding materials, this product is not intended for use in grinding items meant for consumption, as the rock is soft and can chip or crack with too much force.

These products are handmade with care! Due to the handcrafted nature and the softness of the stone, please expect some imperfections around the edges. Each is item is unique in it’s own way!
